นกเอี้ยงที่พบแถวบ้านผมส่วนใหญ่ (อ.เมืองปทุมธานี และ อ.ท่าม่วง กาญจนบุรี) ได้แก่ นกเอี้ยงสาริกา และนกเอี้ยงหงอน แต่มีเจ้านกเอี้ยงสาริกาที่บางตัวมีลักษณะหัวโล้นไม่มีขนเลย มีแต่หนังสีเหลือง วันนี้มีโอกาสได้เจอเลยรีบคว้ากล้องมาถ่าย (ถ่ายได้ที่ อ.เมือง จ.กาญจนบุรี 15 พ.ค. 2564)
ลองหาข้อมูลดู มีหลายข้อมูลที่บอกสาเหตุว่าทำไมนกเอี้ยงถึงหัวโล้น แต่ไม่แน่ใจว่าเป็นข้อมูลที่ถูกต้องหรือไม่ลองติดตามจากข้างล่างนี้ครับ แต่ถ้าเจอข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์หรือน่าเชื่อถือ ก็จะนำมาแจ้งให้ทราบกันต่อไปครับ

นกเอี้ยงสาริกา (หรือสะกด สาลิกา) (Common Myna)
เป็นนกขนาดเล็ก (ประมาณ 25 เซ็นติเมตร) ตัวผู้และตัวเมียมีลักษณะเหมือนกัน ด้านบนลำตัวมีสีน้ำตาล หัวและคอสีดำ อกและท้องมีสีน้ำตาลยกเว้นตรงกลางท้องมีสีอ่อนกว่าบริเวณอื่น ขนคลุมใต้คางสีขาว ปีกสีน้ำตาลแซมดำและขาว ปากและเนื้อบริเวณตาสีเหลือง อาหารได้แก่ แมลง หนอน เมล็ดพืช
ปัจจุบัน นกเอี้ยงสาริกาเป็นสัตว์ป่าคุ้มครอง ตาม พรบ.สงวนและคุ้มครองสัตว์ป่า พ.ศ. 2535 อนุญาตให้เพาะพันธุ์ได้

A bald head Common Myna
Mostly Mynas found around my house in Pathum Thani and Kanchanaburi are Great Myna and Common Myna. However, I found that there is a strange look of some of Common Myna which has a bald head. This Myna doesn't have any hair on the head at all. I have searched from the Internet and found some people give a reason for this strange look but so far I don't find any confirmation whether these are the correct information yet. The comment from people is below. However, if I found the correct information, I will update through this post.
1. Myna might be infected by some diseases due to their food and habitat.
2. This might because the myna feeds food to the parasite baby since the baby always has a bigger size than the myna mommy.
3. This might be another species of Myna due to the mutation.
More information about Common Myna
Common Myna is a small size bird (about 25 centimeters). The common myna has a brown body, black hooded head, and a bare yellow patch behind the eye. The bill and legs are bright yellows. There is a white patch on the outer primaries and the wing lining on the underside is white. The sexes are similar and birds are usually seen in pairs.
It feeds on insects, arachnids, crustaceans, reptiles, small mammals, seeds, grain, and fruits and discarded waste from human habitation.
Currently, the Common Myna is protected wildlife according to the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act B.E. 2535 allows breeding.
