Hakone, is another place where you can see Mt.Fuji. However Hakone trip is more adventure than Lake Kawaguchi. But you can bring your senior family member along since there are vehicles to server you along the way (Train, Bus, Ropeway, Cable car). Below I have put instruction for how to visit Hakone.

I have traveled to Hakone on July 24, 2017 (One day trip) follow below instructions.
1. Check the weather before purchase a pass. Because visit Hakone on the raining day you will not get a good experience.

2. Purchase a Hakone Freepass travel from Shinjuku ( Adult = 5,140 Y, Kid ,= 1,500 Y)
This pass includes Train, Bus, Cruise, Ropeway and Cable car.
*Add more 900 Y to upgrade a train to Romance car (take only 85 mins from Shinjuku to Hakone-Yumoto

* You can purchase the pass one day before or on the day that you are traveling. Credit card accepted.
* You can purchase the pass at Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center. It is located on first floor Odakyu Railway Shinjuku on West Exit. Just enter to the building and it will be right there in front of you.
*If you have never take the train in Japan before please survey the gate to enter to this train before
travel date.
3.The train start from Shinjuku station at about 6.30 am. (You will get train time table with the Pass when you purchase).
4. Below are check points.
- Train from Shinjuku to Odawara
- Train from Odawara to Hakone-Yumoto
- Bus from Hakone-Yumoto to Motohakone-ko Pier
*Sometime there is bad weather the pier will close and they may suggest you to take a bus
to another Pier "Hakonemachi-ko pier
- Cruise from Motohaknoe-Ko to Togendai-ko (pay extra 400 Y on the cruise to get a VIP seat)
- Ropeway from Togendai-ko to Owakudani (Try Black Egg here)
- Ropeway from Owakudani to Sounzan
- Cable car from Sounzan to Gora (There are only few restaurant here so long queue better to prepare
your own food).
- Train from Gora to Haknoe-Yumoto
- Train from Hakone-Yumoto to Odawara
- Train from Odawara to Shinjuku
You will spend around 12 hours from Shijuku and back to Shijuku.

ผมไปฮาโกเนะ วันที่ 24 กค. 2560 ตรงกับ ฤดูร้อนของญี่ปุ่นพอดี แต่ก็พยายาม ดูพยากรณ์อากาศมาก่อน และเลือกวันที่ฝนตกน้อยที่สุด
วิธีการเดินทางและจุดที่จะแวะไม่ยาก มีดังนี้ครับ
1.ตรวจสอบสภาพอากาศล่วงหน้า (ผมตรวจล่วงหน้าประมาณหนึ่งเดือน และเป็นระยะเมื่อใกล้วันเดินทาง)

2.ซื้อตั๋ว Hakone Freepass ได้จาก Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center ซึ่งอยู่ที่ชั้น 1 ของ Odakyu Railway Shinjuku ฝั่ง West Exit. อยู่ใกล้ๆ ทางเดินเข้าสถาน ตามรูปด้านบน
ราคาตั๋ว ออกเดินทางจาก ชินจุกุ ผู้ใหญ่ 5,140 เยน เด็ก 1,500 เยน) ชำระด้วยบัตรเครดิตได้
ตั๋วจะรวมค่าเดินทางทั้งหมด จนกลับมาถึงชินจุกุ (Train, Bus, Cruise, Ropeway and Cable car.)
*สามารถซื้อตั๋วล่วงหน้าได้ หรือซื้อวันเดินทางก็ได้ และถ้าไม่ชำนาญเรื่องการขึ้นรถไฟในญี่ปุ่น ซื้อตั๋วแล้ว ลองเดินดูทางที่จะไปขึ้นรถไฟก่อนนะครับ วันเดินทางจะได้ไม่เสียเวลา
เพิ่มเงิน อีก 900 Y เพื่อนั่ง Romancar ไป Hakone-Youmoto โดยไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนรถ (นั่งประมาณ 85 นาที)

3.เมื่อซื้อตั๋วแล้วเค้าจะให้ตารางเดินรถมาด้วย รถจะเริ่มประมาณ 6.30 น. ครับ และมีออกเป็นระยะๆ ลองวางแผนดู
4.การเดินทางไปยังจุดต่างๆ เป็นตามข้างล่างนี้ครับ
- รถไฟจาก Shinjuku ถึง Odawara
- เปลี่ยนเป็นรถไฟท้องถิ่นที่ สถานี Odawara เพื่อไป Hakone-Yumoto
*ต้องลงจะรถไฟจากชินจุกุ แล้วเดินไปด้านหน้าประมาณ 10 เมตร เพื่อไปขึ้นรถไฟสีแดง ที่เขียนว่า
Hakone-Yumoto
- นั่งรถบัสจาก Hakone-Yumoto ไป Motohakone-ko Pier
*ป้ายรถเมล์อยู่ฝั่งตรงข้ามสถานีรถไฟ Hakone-Yumoto ต้องเดินข้ามสะพานลอยมาแล้วลงมาด้านซ้าย

*เมื่อมาถึง Motohakone-ko Pier อาจเจอสภาพอากาศไม่ดี เค้าจะมีป้ายติดว่าท่าเรือปิด ให้ไปอีกท่าเรือ
นึง ชื่อ Hakonemachi-ko pier โดยนั่งรถบัสเบอร์ 6 ไป
- นั่งเรือ (Cruise) จาก Motohaknoe-Ko ไป Togendai-ko เพื่อไปนั่งกระเช้า (จ่ายเพิ่ม 400 Y เพื่อนั่งห้อง
VIP เบาะนั่งสบายกว่าชั้นธรรมดา)
- นั่งกระเช้า (Ropeway) จาก Togendai-ko ไป Owakudani เพื่อไปกินไข่ดำ 5 ฟอง 500 Y
- นั่งกระเช้าจาก Owakudani ไป Sounzan (ไม่ได้ลง)
- นั่งรถ Cable car จาก Sounzan ไป Gora (มีร้านอาหารอยู่ประมาณ 3 ร้าน ควรเตรียมอาหารไปเอง)
- นั่งรถไฟจาก Gora กลับไป Haknoe-Yumoto
- เปลี่ยนรถไฟ Hakone-Yumoto เพื่อไป Odawara
- เปลี่ยนรถไฟที่ Odawara เพื่อกลับ Shinjuku

ภายในอุทยานแห่งชาติฟูจิ ฮาโกเนะ อิสุ ซึ่งมีอาณาเขตอยู่รอบๆทะเลสาบอาชิ มีชื่อเสียงในด้านแหล่งสปาน้ำพุร้อนซึ่งเกิดจากความร้อนของภูเขาไฟ รวมทั้งยังมีทิวทัศน์ของภูเขาไฟฟูจิที่สวยงาม
สถานที่น่าสนใจอื่นๆ ยังมีหุบเขาน้ำเดือด และศาลเจ้าฮาโกเนะที่ตั้งอยู่ริมทะเลสาบอาชิ ในเดือนเมษายนจะมีดอกซากุระบานสะพรั่งเต็มสวนในศาลเจ้า
