นกกระรางหัวหงอก (บางแหล่งข้อมูลสะกด นกกะราง) (White-crested Laughingthrush) จาก
สถานีเพาะเลี้ยงสัตว์ป่าห้วยทราย หัวหิน
เป็นนกที่มีขนาดค่อนข้างใหญ่ (ขนาดย่อมกว่าอีกาหน่อยนึง) จากปลายปากถึงปลายหางมีความยาวราว 30 เซนติเมตร ลักษณะเด่นคือขนบนหัวสีขาวฟูเหมือนคนผมหงอก
นอกจากนี้ลักษณะเด่นที่น่าสนใจอีกอย่างหนึ่งคือ เป็นนกที่ชอบส่งเสียงร้องดังหนวกหู
ประมาณว่าแข่งกับนกคุกคาบาร่า (Kookaburra) ที่ออสเตรเลียได้เลย
This is a White-crested Laughingthrush bird from Huai Sai Wildlife Breeding Center Hua Hin Thailand
I think its size is a bit smaller than a crow. This bird has a white-crested look like white hair, then its name in Thai meant to white hair of the old people. Moreover, this bird loves to make a loud noise like laughing. This makes me think of Kookaburra from Australia
